My Story

My name is Machelle and this is my husband, Scott.  We are the owners of Small Town Scrap.  

We have been married for over 20 years after meeting on a blind date and the saying “opposites attract” describes us to a “T”.  I grew up in a very small town in Central Texas while he grew up in San Antonio (pop. over 1 million!).  After living in several places over the years we have settled back in Central Texas with our 2 dogs & 2 cats.  

I have always loved pictures.  When I was young, my grandmother had a shoebox full of photos that I loved to look through while she told me who everyone was, where & when the picture was taken.  Sometimes there was a story about what they were doing or why they were together.  When my grandmother passed away, I inherited the box of photos but couldn’t remember some of the names or the stories that went with them.  I realized I did not want that to happen to my photos and that is how I started scrapbooking.

My husband grew up loving photography, so we have become the official family photographers for all our gatherings and events.  This could be anything from a general get together or holiday to a wedding or graduation.  These are the pictures and stories I scrapbook, for myself as well as gifts for family & friends.  I also document our everyday lives and LOTS of pet photos.
