Sketch Saturday #767

Welcome to our first post for 2025!  Sketch Saturday #767 is up this morning.  Here is today’s sketch and the twist is to use striped paper.

Sketch Saturday #767

My card today is pretty close to the sketch with some additions.

My squares are a little bigger & I added the flowers, leaves & sentiment to the top.

My background paper is “striped”, just not in the traditional sense.  There are columns with swirls inside as my stripes.

Also, I had a little help with this one.  My husband was home when I started my card & he always has a different perspective on things.

So, where I see four base panels on a solid background, he sees a patterned background with windows cut out of the top piece.

It gives the same effect with a little dimension.  So I decided to go with his vision for this card.

I hope that this inspires you to think outside the box when you start with a sketch.

Remember, you can turn it, use circles instead of squares, add dimensional items, etc.

Add your personal touch & make it yours!  Also, be sure to check out all the examples over on the Sketch Saturday #767 blog post and add your card to the link at the bottom.

Three cards will be featured on the blog as the challenge winners with a badge for you to display.

I am so happy you stopped by today.  I hope to have a couple of different blog posts up soon.

I am going to reveal my Word of the Year & I also want to talk about some new Creative Memories products that I am excited about.

All of that will be coming soon, so please check back in.

As always, if you have any questions or suggestions please leave a message on my Contact page.

If you are interested in scrapbooking but don’t know where to start, please reach out – I would love to help.

There are several posts about photo management & one just for Beginner Scrapbookers.

Talk to you soon,

Machelle
